Akebi is a unique fruit in Japan known for its bright purple skin. Kakitsubata is Japanese Iris (or “Rabbit-Ear Iris”) known for its violet color and rabbit ear-shaped petals. These fauna are the inspiration for the Sailor Manyo inks Akebi (a purplish-fuchsia hue) and Kakitsubata (a muted deep violet), which in turn, inspired the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Manyo Rabbit-Ear Iris. This pen features a translucent barrel in Kakitsubata and a cap, section, and finial in Akebi. Trims are gold-plated, and the finial features a small icon of the flower.
