Drying flowers has been practiced for many, many centuries, initially for medical purposes and later for aesthetics. In Europe, dried flowers have become a symbol of love and longevity as they remain perpetually in bloom, while in Japan, oshibana uses these botanical materials to create nature-inspired pictures.
Eucalyptus is commonly dried, but beyond its medical and aromatic benefits, it is a symbol of Japanese resilience. The Giant Eucalyptus located near Hiroshima Castle is one of the 159 trees that survived the 1945 A-bomb drop and remain standing today as witnesses to the horrors of war and signposts of strength.
Inspired by eucalyptus, Sailor released the Pro Gear Slim Dried Flowers II Eucalyptus, part of the second set of the Dried Flowers series. It features a light green barrel, a dark green cap, and a sparkly, slightly translucent yellow-green section. It has gold-plated trims and a 14-karat gold nib engraved with a flower bouquet.
We have for sale a brand new Sailor Pro Gear Slim Dried Flowers II Marigold with an M nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
