In Japan, hydrangeas signal the beginning of the rainy season, which happens some time in June. While one may think that the weather may hamper a great vacation, the opposite is actually true, especially if you enjoy the outdoors, as places like Kamakura, Kyushu, Kochi, Hakone, and Kyoto boast gorgeous hydrangea displays. 

These flowers are featured on the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Hydrangea, a collaboration with fountain pen store Ancora. The pen comes in two variants—clear and purple.
