More than the Japanese word for the first snow fall of the year, “hatsuyuki” evokes a sense of beauty, wonder, and transience. It’s a nostalgic—and even romantic—occurence that marks the official beginning of winter. The changing of seasons has long been an inspiration for artists in Japan, and until today, hatsuyuki is celebrated with rituals, exhibits, and shows that take inspiration from local legends and landscapes.
Sailor celebrates hatsuyuki with the Pro Gear Slim Hatsuyuki, a collaboration with fountain pen store Ancora. Designed with a pattern of snowflakes (or “yuki”) and gold trims, it highlights feelings of freshness and renewal that the season is known for.
We have for sale a Sailor Pro Gear Slim Hatsuyuki in near mint condition. It’s installed with a 15-karat gold nib (MF) and is almost new with only very minimal micro scratches. We’re offering only the pen and its converter, no box or papers.
