Drying flowers has been practiced for many, many centuries, initially for medical purposes and later for aesthetics. In Europe, dried flowers have become a symbol of love and longevity as they remain perpetually in bloom, while in Japan, oshibana uses these botanical materials to create nature-related pictures.
Marigolds are often dried and preserved due to their bright oranges and yellows. These flowers often bloom from early May to late July, and many parks invite visitors to appreciate them, such as Marigold no Oka Park in Saitama and Harima Marigold Garden in Hogo. The Nokonoshima Island Park in Fukuoka even has a free Marigold-picking event, which is the perfect opportunity to make dried flowers.
Inspired by marigolds, Sailor released the Pro Gear Slim Dried Flowers II Marigold, part of the second set of the Dried Flowers series. It features a pale cream barrel, a bright yellow cap, and a sparkly, slightly translucent section. It has gold-plated trims and a 14-karat gold nib engraved with a flower bouquet.
We have for sale a brand new Sailor Pro Gear Slim Dried Flowers II Marigold with an M nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
