Only 88 pieces of this gorgeous pen were ever released.
Wabi sabi is the Japanese concept of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. It accepts the simplicity of what’s incomplete and appreciates weathering brought about by time. As such, its expressions often reflect an organic aura, opting for muted colors and natural textures over flashy patterns and ornamentation.
This movement is encapsulated in the Sailor King of Pen Wabi Sabi II Green. Part of the second Wabi Sabi series, this limited-edition release features an oversized fountain pen with an ebonite barrel and a body finished with the Irosagane Sabinuri technique developed by urushi artist Wayo Shimamori, resulting in a beautifully rough blend of green, gray, and gold.
We have for sale a brand new Sailor King of Pen Wabi Sabi II green with a 21-karat gold nib in M. This pen is marked 09 of 88 and comes complete with its box and papers.
(Please avoid posting the cap to avoid damaging the urushi.)
