The 1911L is the flagship “Large” version of the Sailor Heritage line, and is the usual pick of those who prioritize a smooth, controlled writing experience. It features a high-quality resin body with just the right amount of heft. It carries a 21-karat gold nib—a rarity among fountain pens, as most brands only create nibs at a maximum of 18 karats. Sailor’s 21-karat gold nib is sturdy enough for daily writing and soft enough for calligraphy.
