The bush warbler (uguisu) perched on a Japanese apricot tree has been a scene that inspired art for many centuries. The tree is known to flower in late winter, and the uguisu singing through its blossoms heralds the coming of spring and symbolizes renewal and fidelity.
This scene is interpreted by the artisan group Kokkokai on the Namiki Yukari Apricot Tree and Brush Warbler fountain pen. It features the intricate Togidashi-Hira Maki-e (Burnished-Flat Maki-e) technique, offering a beautiful blend of greed, red, white, and gold against a polished back background. It carries a No. 10, 18-karat gold nib.
We have for sale a brand new Namiki Yukari Apricot Tree and Bush Warbler fountain pen with an F nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
