The Namiki Capless Raden Stripe fountain pen is a lesson in less being more. Bands of raden (mother of pearl) sourced from abalone are embedded on the barrel where its two rhodium-plated rings meet. These draw the eye to the precise alignment of each piece. The ten layers of lacquer used to finish it heightens the raden’s iridescence and offers a sense of depth.
