he Namiki Ukiyo-e Shobei Odera fountain pen celebrates the Japanese art of kabuki. Created by artist collective Kokokkai, it is a tribute to Shobei Odera, a paradoxical character from the play ”The Love Story of Izayoi and Seishin”, who lets the audience question the morals of both a hero and a villain against the backdrop of a tragic story. This ukiyo-e-themed maki-e pen is a unique interpretation of a timeless tale and a homage to 400-year-old Asian theater tradition. It carries a 14-karat gold nib, and is a collector’s piece as much as it is a writing instrument.
We have for sale a brand new Namiki Ukiyo-e Shobei Odera fountain pen with an M nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inserts.
