Namiki Nippon Art Fuji and Wave
₱28,500.00

Mount Fuji is a World Heritage Site and considered to be a sacred place that is home to gods and spirits. As it has been revered through centuries, it has become the inspiration and subject of many writers and artists, including the great ukiyo-e master Hokusai.

Hokusai’s most famous series of woodblock prints is the “36 Views of Mount Fuji”, which he began working on at age 70. Between 1830 and 1832, he printed Mount Fuji in different seasons, weather conditions, and times of day. The collection’s most popular piece is “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”, which up to this day continues to see many interpretations.

Inspired by this popular piece, art collective Kokkokai sets a scene that includes waves, birds, and Mount Fuji on the Namiki Nippon Art Fuji and Wave fountain pen. A rich mix of gold, silver, and red on a glossy black background, this urushi pen is a beautiful hat tip to one of the most defining scenes in traditional Japanese art.
