Namiki Yukari Royale Vermillion

Leonardo da Vinci supposedly said that “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”, and it has never been truer than in describing the Namiki Yukari Royale Vermillion. Made by the artisan collective Kokkokai, it features Roiro urushi that requires the lacquer’s surface to be wet-sanded with Suruga charcoal from the Japanese tung oil tree. The result is a perfectly smooth surface with a glossy, mirror-like shine.
