Ingrid Bergman was a Swedish actress considered to be one of the most famous and beloved international stars of her time. Her most notable performance was of Ilsa Lund in “Casablanca”. The movie itself was not just an instant classic, but also a love story to the world: as it was released in the middle of World War II, it was a fearless rebellion against totalitarianism that highlighted courage, love, and sacrifice.
Bergman also worked with the famous director Alfred Hitchcock in “Spellbound” and “Notorious”. Later, she also did theater and last appeared on Broadway in 1975. In her lifetime, she won three Oscars, a Tony, four Golden Globes, a BAFTA award, two Primetime Emmys, and a Volpi Cup.
In honor of an amazing artist, Montblanc released the Ingrid Bergman fountain pen in 2009 under the Muses line, which aims to pay tribute to women who have made significant contributions to their chosen field. When capped, the pen has an interesting but elegant tapered shape. Uncapped, there is a drop from its precious black resin barrel to its gold-coated section. The cap itself is layered with mother-of-pearl lacquer and features Bergman’s signature and a clip that ends with an amethyst.
We have for sale a Montblanc Muses Ingrid Bergman fountain pen with an 18K gold nib (F) in near-mint condition. It has very minimal signs of use, and comes with its complete set that includes its box, papers, and a pack of cartridges.
