Montblanc Writers Edition Victor Hugo
₱79,500.00

Victor Hugo was one of the pillars of the Romantic movement (1800 to 1850). He redefined French literature, writing about social justice and political resistance, the existence of beauty in the grotesque, and the hope of redemption after suffering. He wrote “Les Misérables” and “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame”, both of which have been adapted across various media and remain among the most enduring stories of all time.

In honor of his accomplishments, Montblanc released the Writers Edition Victor Hugo fountain pen, with a design heavily influenced by the Gothic architecture of Notre Dame de Paris. The cap shape is reminiscent of the famous cathedral’s Rosace, and the unique clip recreates the bell. Jean Valjean’s face peeks through one of the clip’s “windows” if one looks closely. When capped, this piston-filling pen represents the pillar where Quasimodo was chained. The body is made from Montblanc’s precious resin, and the nib from Au750 gold.

We have for sale a brand-new Montblanc Writers Edition Victor Hugo (2020) fountain pen with an M nib. It comes with its inner box, papers, and other inclusions. The outer box is not included.

Length capped: 14.5 cm.
