During the last few months of his life, Vincent Van Gogh stayed in Auvers-sur-Oise in France, painting many of the things he saw. His work during this time showed intense contrasts—from yellow fields to dark skies—and beautifully chaotic lines. 

One of his final works was Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman, which is a common theme seen through Van Gogh’s eyes. It features blue and violet tones to create a vineyard contrasted by the red roof of a house in the distance. Leaving the background blank and white doesn’t leave the work unfinished, but highlights the gradient of colors in the foreground. 

Inspired by spaces where the eyes could rest, the Visconti Van Gogh Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman has a mostly white cap and barrel, with streaks of blue and violet, representing the subjects of his work. This cartridge-converter fountain pen features palladium trims and a steel nib.
