The Sailor Pro Gear Sakura Nagare Raden is not only a writing instrument, but a symbol of remembrance and acknowledgement. Released in 2010, it was created as a special concession by the Japanese prime minister to veterans of World War II who have never received their pensions. 

Crafted with an urushi finish and taking more than eight months to create, it features mother-of-pearl sakura drifting down a winding river backdropped in powdered gold. The design symbolizes flower-viewing festivals and the transience of youth, especially for those who have spent their younger years in war. 

We have for sale this very special pen with a 21-karat gold nib in H-M. Even rarer is that it comes with an unsealed Seiko pocket watch, which is part of the package.
