The Custom 845 is Pilot’s former flagship pen and is still considered premium. Transforming throughout the decades, the Custom line has settled on a distinct classic look that almost belies the superior materials and excellent craftsmanship required to produce it. It has an ebonite cap and body finished with urushi lacquer, which is watertight and durable. It has gold-plated trims, with a clip engraved with “PILOT,” and features a two-toned, 18-karat gold nib (#15).
