Namiki Nippon Art Golden Pheasant
₱27,500.00
Golden pheasants, known as “kinkei” in Japan, are birds that were first imported from China during the Edo period. Symbols of beauty and prosperity, these were often the subjects of works of art, including prints by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) and Itō Jakuchū (1716-1800).
Kinkei are also the inspiration for the Namiki Nippon Art Golden Pheasant rollerball pen. Created by the artisan collective Kokokkai using the Hira Maki-e (flat maki-e) technique, it features two beautifully plummed birds on a polished black background amidst falling cherry blossom petals.
We have for sale a brand-new Namiki Nippon Art Golden Pheasant rollerball pen. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
