Time to make room for the first release in Montblanc’s Writer’s edition collection.
The Montblanc Writers Edition Ernest Hemingway is the inaugural pen of the collection. Released in 1992, it was a hat tip to the literary giant that wrote “The Old Man and the Sea”, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
The pen itself has the silhouette of the vintage Montblanc 139, customized with a bright coral barrel that represents the brand’s pen releases in the 1930s, which was the era when Hemingway became a renowned writer. It has gold-plated trims and Hemingway’s signature on one side of the dark brown cap.
Interestingly, the pen wasn’t popular the year it was introduced. It being one of the few “modern” 139s released in the last few decades, its gorgeous color, and its now vintage status may be attributed to why many collectors would want to get their hands on a Hemingway.
If you’re one of them, then you’re in luck. We have for sale a pre-owned Montblanc Writers Edition Ernest Hemingway (1992) with an 18K gold nib (F). This comes with its complete set that includes its outer box, its inner book-like box, two papers, and even its original price tag. The pen itself has very minimal micro scratches and is in good working condition.
