The Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection traces the adventures of Jules Verne’s beloved characters, Mr. Fogg and Passepartout as they circumnavigated the world. Part of the collection is the Le Grande fountain pen made from anthracite precious resin, giving it a beautiful grayish-black finish. Highlighting the characters’ journey from Bombay to Yokohama, it has a framed, laser-engraved elephant on the cap. The clip is designed with a red, lacquered diamond, symbolizing a game of cards, while the ring near the finial features “80”, the total number of days they went around the world. The golden end of the barrel has a depiction of the jewelry of Princess Aouda, who fell in love with Mr. Fogg. The nib is made from 18-karat gold and is decorated with a hot air balloon and the dates 20/10 and 14/10, which denote their departure from Bombay and Yokohama.
