Montblanc’s Solitaire range refers to pens made from precious metals such as mother of pearl, silver, and gold. Compared to the classic black and burgundy Meisterstuck, these pens are physically heavier and are more intricately designed, featuring patterns and engravings that offer elevated elegance. 

One of these pens is the Bohème Solitaire Sterling Silver Bleu, a fountain pen with a two-tone, 18-karat, rhodium-plated retractable gold nib. Its body is made from sterling silver with a barleycorn pattern. Part of the large set released during the turn of the millennium, it features a synthetic paramount-cut sapphire gemstone on the clip.
