Did you know that murder-mystery writer Agatha Christie often used poison as a plot device in her stories? From the 1920 novel “The Mysterious Affair at Styles” where Mrs. Inglethrop was found unresponsive in an otherwise idyllic country house, to the 1945 page-turner “Sparkling Cyanide” that requires no explanation, the knowledge she gained as a pharmacist always shone through in her works.
This is why the Montblanc Writers Edition Agatha Christie features a snake as its clip, symbolizing her interest in venoms, toxins, and other concoctions. This 1993 release has two versions: one is vermeil, which is rarer.
We have for sale a Montblanc Writers Edition Agatha Christie 4810 Vermeil fountain pen. The snake clip is made from gold-vermeiled sterling silver 925, with two small sapphires for eyes. It carries 18-karat gold nib in F, and has signs of use. We’re offering only the pen, no box or papers.
Length capped: 14 cm.
