Did you know that the Montblanc that we know today launched in 1906 as Simplo Filler Pen Co.? The name made sense because when the company started, they first produced simple safety pens (a line called “Rouge et Noire”), which were dubbed as such due to their retractable nibs that telescoped into the barrel. These pens had caps with dome-shaped tops and, when they later changed the company name to Montblanc, had the branding etched on them.
A century later, the already established luxury giant released the Montblanc 100 Years Anniversary 1906-2006 limited-edition safety fountain pen, which calls back the design of Rouge et Noire. Together with its launch was a ballpoint pen that’s similarly designed.
We have for sale a pre-owned Montblanc 100 Years Anniversary Historical Limited Edition 2006 Ballpoint Pen, no box or papers.
