Made from resin mixed with hardened ballistic lava from Mt. Etna in Italy, the Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age Maxi fountain pen is solid enough for the brand to call it “virtually unbreakable” while offering a warm, cozy, and almost rubbery feel when used for writing. It’s a bit heavier than most pens, but is still quite comfortable to write with.
Its body and cap are a gorgeous matte black complemented by bronze trims. As this is the Maxi version, it features Visconti’s vacuum Power Filler with a system made from titanium that guards against ink corrosion. It also has the brand’s trademarked Hook Safe Lock that keeps the pen from being accidentally uncapped.
We have a pre-owned Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age Maxi fountain pen with an F nib for sale. It has minimal micro scratches and a bit of stubborn patina on brass trims despite being polished, but it is all in all in good condition. We’re offering only the pen, no box or papers.
