Only 200 units of this hand-engraved sterling silver pen are produced in a month.
An ancient technique to decorate Damascus steel is to etch it with different designs before layering it with gold. The blended metals are then heated to produce an embossed effect where the steel blackens to contrast and lift the gold areas.
This technique was used on the gold-layered, 925 sterling silver barrel sheath of the Pelikan M900 Toledo, which features an intricate pelican design. It is finished with a cap, section, and a piston knob of black resin and gold trims.
We have a new-old-stock Pelikan M900 Toledo with a two-tone 18K gold nib (M) for sale. It comes with its complete set that includes an outer box, lacquered inner box, and papers.
