Launched in 1982, the Pelikan Souverän range has a classic look and shape that remains to be popular among fountain pen enthusiasts. The Stresemann, which is its signature aesthetic, is a homage to the 1920s diplomat Gustav Stresemann who enjoyed pairing lounge coats with gray-and-blacked striped trousers, which back then was a break from fashion tradition, but is now considered timeless. 

The Pelikan M805 Anthracite Stresemann is a reinterpretation of this style using anthracite, a high-quality form of coal that is hard to find. Its subtle shimmer on the pen’s barrel complements the palladium trims and the rhodium-plated 18-karat gold nib.
