We’ll always love a tortoiseshell-colored pen, especially when it has a beautiful mix of hues such as the Pelikan M800 Tortoiseshell Brown’s unique striations. Initially released sometime in the late 1980s, it was the only tortoiseshell variant for more than two decades, until its re-release in 2013. Although the pen has received cult status from pen collectors today, when it was initially released in the late 1980s, it received a lackluster of sales. Its re-release was quite the eureeka moment for Pelikan as when sales were boosted, demand for even the older version shot up among collectors.
We have for sale a pre-owned Pelikan M800 Tortoiseshell Brown with stripes of brown, copper, and orange that affords it a vintage vibe. It’s installed with an 18C gold nib (M), has very minimal micro scratches, and is in good working condition. The pen comes complete with its whole gift set and its ink bottle.
