Following the Middle Ages, Europe experienced an artistic and intellectual revival called the Renaissance, which originated in Italy. It was heralded by the invention of the first printing press that gave the public better access to humanist books, encouraging a culture of curiosity and a greater appreciation for science and philosophy. Art during the Renaissance offered a more realistic take compared to works that came before it. It reflected the era’s introspective approach to life, with a sharp focus on detail, depth of field, and the play of light and shadow.

This was the inspiration for special edition Pelikan M800 Renaissance Brown, featuring pearlescent marbled patterns inspired by the play of light seen in many Renaissance paintings. As with all M800s, this pen comes with gold-plated accents and a two-toned 18C-750 gold nib. For sale is a pre-owned Pelikan M805 Renaissance Brown with an M nib. It comes complete with its box and papers, but do note that the outer box is slightly damaged.
