Anthracite is high-quality coal with low volatility and a high fixed-carbon content. This material is hard to find—in fact, it’s sourced only from specific locations—and represents a very small percentage of global coal reserves. While it’s often used in heating and power generation, it also finds its way into very niche industries, such as writing instrument manufacturing.
This material was used on the Pelikan M405 Anthracite Stresemann, which features a striped, semi-transparent barrel paired with a black cap, highlighted by palladium trims, and fitted with a 14-karat, rhodium-plated gold nib.
We have for sale a brand-new Pelikan M405 Anthracite Stresemann with an EF nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
Length capped: 12.5 cm.
Length uncapped: 12.1 cm.
