The Pelikan M400 Tortoiseshell Brown was released in 2016—and don’t worry, no real tortoises were harmed in its creation. While this pattern is available in other pens of different colorways, this iteration is the closest to an actual tortoiseshell combination, with a mix of brown, amber, and deep yellow on its translucent resin barrel, accented by rough stripes and highlighted by gold trims. It carries a 14C-585 monotone gold nib and Pelikan’s trademarked piston-filling mechanism.
