“Godron” comes from the old French word “goderon”, which is an ornamental pattern consisting of hollows and protrusions, either tightly positioned or spaced out. The English adaptation “gadroon” has a similar meaning: Collins Dictionary defines it as “a decorative series of curved, inverted flutings”.
This pattern is featured on the Parker Duofold International Gold Godron, which was part of the luxe Gold Collection released in 1991. It features 23-karat gold plating on brass upon acrylic and highlighted by an 18-karat gold nib.
We have for sale a pre-owned Parker Duofold International Gold Godron with an M nib. It has minimal signs of use with a hairline crack on the lip of the cap, but is in good working condition. We’re offering only the pen, no box or papers.
Length capped: 13.2 cm.
