Japan has many colorful celebrations. The Japanese word for “festival” is “matsuri” and it is derived from the word “matsuru”, which means “to celebrate gods.” These festivals are, in essence, based on Shinto beliefs and coincide with different seasons.
Maki-e artisans of the Kokkokai collaboration worked on the Namiki Nippon Art Festival fountain pen to depict the country’s beautiful matsuri culture. Featuring ukiyo-e art highlighted by fireworks or “hanabi,” this now-discontinued pen is truly a must-have.
We have for sale a pre-owned Namiki Nippon Art Festival fountain pen with a 14K gold nib (F). It has very minimal micro scratches and is in good working condition. The pen comes with its inner box and converter.
