American-born British Violinist Yehudi Menuhin, was hailed as one of the best violinists of the 20th century, playing from age four and touring during his teenage years. He was known to be very musical as he plays with intense feeling despite a few critics saying that his interpretation sacrificed technique. He played approximately 500 concerts for the Allied troops when World War II broke out, and in his later years, he promoted environmental and social causes. He was knighted in 1965, and received the title of Lord Menuhin of Stoke d’Abernon upon becoming a British citizen in 1985.
In honor of his many accomplishments, Montblanc released the Yehudi Menuhin Donation Pen in 2000. This Special Edition features a gorgeous gold clip that resembles a violin’s neck, a cap ring with his signature, and a two-tone 18K gold nib etched with a stylized dove.
We have a pre-owned unit with an M nib for sale. It can pass for new with minimal microscratches, but its box shows a bit of wear and tear. It comes with its papers and CD set.
