American actor and cultural icon James Dean only starred in three films, but these almost immediately established him as a symbol of youthful rebellion in the 1950s. His promising career was cut short by a tragic car accident at age 24, and the suddenness of his death made such an immense impact to the public’s psyche that it turned him into a legend, with many considering him as the embodiment of America’s Golden Age.

In honor of his short but influential life, Montblanc released the Great Characters James Dean Special Edition set, which includes a ballpoint pen. The red cap and body were inspired by the jacket he wore in “Rebel Without a Cause”, contrasted by chrome fittings that offer the vibe of the ‘50s.
