Known as the “King of Waltz”, Johann Strauss II was one of the most prolific musicians of the 1800s, composing approximately 500 pieces during his lifetime, 150 of which were waltzes. His most famous waltz was “The Blue Danube”, which continues to be used in different media—in fact, it’s been prominently used in films such as “2001: A Space Odyssey" and “Titanic”.
Considered as one of the greats of classical music, Montblanc released the Donation Pen Johann Strauss Special Edition in his honor in 2015. Its silhouette was inspired by the Leo Bernstein pen and it features a violin bow as its clip, as the violin was Strauss’ instrument of choice. Engraved on the cap ring is the composer’s signature.
We have for sale a Montblanc Donation Pen Johann Strauss Special Edition with a 14-karat gold nib in F. It’s in near mint condition and comes with its box, papers, and other inserts.
