Stripes are not a common design for Montblanc Bohème fountain pens. In fact, there were only two releases that featured stripes of alternating colors. One of them is the Bohème Platinum-plated Crystal (also known as “Platinum Stripe”) released in 2000. Made from precious white metals, this pen has a platinum-plated body with black lacquer stripes and a synthetic, paramount-cut white crystal gemstone on its clip. It has a retractable nib with an 18-karat, rhodium-plated gold nib, finishing the chrome-inspired aesthetic that was prevalent during the turn of the millennium.
