The Montblanc 149 is the flagship pen of the Meisterstück line and features a familiar, straight-forward cigar shape. Made from celluloid prior to the 1960s, the brand now produces them using their proprietary black precious resin that offers durability and gloss. It has gold trims and a size 9 18-karat gold nib, and while this all seems basic, the pen still delivers one of the best and smoothest writing experiences among instruments of the same calibre.
