How many ways can one describe a Montblanc 149? We’ve been singing it praises whenever we have units for sale, but really, it’s deserving of all of it. It’s a reliable everyday pen with a solid nib that won’t embarrass you in the conference room or in casual settings. With gold trims that contrast a barrel and cap made from precious resin, it’s a pen that exudes quiet elegance.
We have a pre-owned unit for sale that comes with a bi-color 14C F nib. (Nibs marked with “C” instead of “K” are known to be softer.) It has a solid ebonite feed, a striated ink window, and plastic piston threads. Ebonite feeds allow for good and consistent ink flow, which supports the nib’s slight spring. It measures 14.7 cm. capped and 13.2 cm. uncapped.
We’re offering only the pen with general signs of use and microscratches. Do note that the rhodium plating is slightly faded on the nib, showing the gold underneath.
