The Montblanc 147 is called "Traveler" because it carries a cartridge, which arguably is better than brining a vial or bottle of ink especially if you often travel by air. Unlike the very slim cartridge filler 144, the 147 is only slightly narrower than the 149 (same size as the 146), making it comfortable for continuous writing. As with every Meisterstuck pen, its made from Montblanc's precious resin. It also comes with a 14K two-tone gold nib.

For sale today is a pre-owned Montblanc 147 Traveler with an M nib. It's in good condition with general micro scratches and signs of use (some plating loss on the inner cartrrridge housing), and measures 14.6 cm capped. The pen comes pen only, no box or papers.
