While the 1980s wasn’t a good decade for Montblanc due to the rise of cheaper and more convenient ballpoint pens, the brand remained steadfast and even came out with a luxury line that reflected the glamor of the decade: the Solitaire.
Pens from this line were made from precious materials, but its most eye-catching unit would be the Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Barley Vermeil. With a gold-plated silver barrel and cap, this barleycorn-patterned pen treads the fine line between classy and ostentatious, but manages to pin being elegantly fancy.
We have for sale a pre-owned Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Barley Vermeil with a two-tone 18K gold nib (F). There’s some oxidation on the cap ring and scratches on the vermeil cap, but it is otherwise in good condition. We’re offering only the pen with its converter, no box or papers.
Length capped: 14.7 c.m.
