Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard
₱21,500.00

Utagawa Hiroshige was a prolific ukiyo-e artist who created around 8,000 woodblock prints of everyday life in Edo during his career. He was known for his series “One Hundred Views of Edo”, part of which was “Plum Garden at Kameido”, which features close-up branches of a plum tree framing the rest of the garden, backdropped by the reddish afternoon sky.

An admirer of Japanese art, Vincent Van Gogh copied this woodblock print in his own style and intense colors. It was this painting’s palette that inspired the Visconti Vincent Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pen. The body and the cap reflect the sharp red that the painter used, accented by blue-green and brown strokes. The pen’s trims are made of yellow gold-plated metal reminiscent of the border Van Gogh added to the piece. It features a gold-colored steel nib.

We have for sale a brand-new Visconti Vincent Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pen, complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
