This pen is made from a material that’s highly durable—some say indestructible.
The Visconti Homo Sapiens fountain pen, which was launched nearly, quickly achieved “grail” status due to its unique feel and composition. Made from basaltic lava from Mount Etna in Italy, its body is said to be flameproof and unbreakable, making it a great daily pen. It is also hydroscopic, enabling it to absorb moisture from one’s hand for a unique tactile experience.
The Homo Sapiens Dark Ages is a gorgeously matte, all black iteration of the line. It features smoky black metallic trims and an 18-karat, ruthenium-coated gold nib that crowns the whole pen. It has Visconti’s trademarked Power Filler, which is a vacuum filler made from titanium.
We have for sale a brand new Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age with an M nib. It comes complete with its box and papers.
