Upon calm ocean waves at night, a distant electrical storm flashes across the sky, briefly illuminating the sea with vivid streaks of light and color. This dramatic scene inspired the Sailor Pro Gear Storm Over the Ocean, also known as “Umi no Arashi.” 

Released in 2022 as a limited edition, the pen features a deep navy-blue resin body with Sailor’s shimmering “metashine” finish, designed to resemble light reflecting across dark ocean waves. Purple accents on the finials evoke flashes of lightning in the night sky, while the silver trim complements its cool-toned appearance. It is fitted with Sailor’s signature 21-karat gold nib.
