The Sailor “Midnight Sky” collection was inspired by the words of Sei Shonagon (966-1017), the author of  “The Pillow Book”: “In summer the nights–not only when the moon shines, but on dark nights too, as the fireflies flit to and fro, and even when it rains, how beautiful it is!” Made from deep blue resin, it reflects the calm, moonlit evenings the writer enjoyed in her lifetime.
