Blue Lagoon is a cocktail from France, and was said to have been invented by Andy MacElhon, the son of famous bartender Harry MacElhone, in Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. It uses blue Curaçao mixed with vodka and lemonade, giving it its bright, light-blue color, and is garnished with a pineapple.
This famous drink inspired the Sailor Pro Gear Blue Lagoon, which is part of the brand’s cocktail series. Released in 2016, this pen features a barrel and cap in a shade of blue similar to the cocktail, and a neon yellow-green finial and barrel bottom representing its citrusy ingredient and its garnish. It carries a two-tone, 21-karat gold nib.
