Sailor 110th Anniversary Fountain Pen SHIROGANE

The design of Sailor 110th Anniversary SHIROGANE is not something you’ll usually see in many of the brand’s pens. Made from shirogane, which literally translates to “white metal” and pertains to silver (925 sterling in this case), this 2021 anniversary release is a homage to Japanese minimalism and modernism, as well as Sailor’s promise to continuously move towards the future. 

The pen is huge and heavy, weighing 82 grams. Aside from its sleek barrel, the cap is an interesting design statement featuring a ring in place of a clip embossed with “since 1911” and a beautifully domed finial with the Sailor logo. The nib is a two-tone affair made of 21-karat gold in Hard-Fine and offers the best writing experience from the brand.
