Red coral grows on dark, rocky seafloor where sedimentation is low. Often found in Mediterranean waters, it has been nicknamed “red gold” for its fiery color and preciousness. 

This is the inspiration behind the Pilot Vanishing Point Limited Edition Red Coral fountain pen released in 2022. Its bright red body complements rhodium trims, and it comes with an 18-karat, rhodium-plated gold nib. Only 2,022 units have ever been released.
