Pilot Decimo SE Pink

Pilot changed the idea of what a fountain pen could be when it introduced the original Capless in 1963, creating the world’s first retractable fountain pen that could be ready to write with a single push. In 2005, that concept evolved into the slimmer and lighter Capless Décimo. Its name comes from the Spanish word “décimo,” meaning “tenth,” marking it as the tenth-generation model in Pilot’s long-running Capless family. 

Beginning in 2019, Pilot gave the Décimo an especially colorful treatment with the limited Capless Décimo 20 Colors collection. Pink arrived with the second release in February 2020, alongside Gray, Bordeaux, Emerald Green, and Blue. 

What sets the 20 Colors series apart is its finish. The lightweight aluminum body is given a fine hairline texture before undergoing an anodizing process, producing a softly brushed metallic surface rather than the glossy finish seen on many standard Décimo models. The delicate pink body is paired with cool silver-toned details, while the 18-karat rhodium-finished gold nib retracts completely into the pen. When closed, an internal airtight shutter helps protect the nib from drying out.
