The Japanese pagoda tree originated from China, where it was traditionally planted near tombs of scholars during the Zhou Dynasty. Symbolizing wisdom, knowledge, and enlightenment, it was later introduced to Japan by Buddhist priests who would plant them around temples. Due to this, the tree, which blooms from late summer to early autumn, has also become a representation of tranquility. Some also believe that it is a charm for longevity.
Wood from the Japanese pagoda tree was used to create the Pilot Custom Enju fountain pen. It features a beautiful, natural finish and has been resin impregnated to seal and protect it from liquids. It features gold-colored trims and a No. 15, two-tone, 18-karat gold nib.
We have for sale a brand new Pilot Custom Enju with an F nib that comes complete with its box, inserts, and a Pilot Custom pen case.
