While we all love traditional Stresemann stripes, there’s always something exciting when Pelikan deviates from its classic designs. The M805 Metal Sleeve fountain pen introduced in 2025 is an experiment in different materials and is reminiscent of the 2002 Spirit of Gaudí limited-edition release. It has a black resin body with a barrel inlaid with silver-colored metal laser-cut in a criss-cross pattern with lines thinning towards the center. This geometric design offers not only something different to the eye, but also a unique tactile experience, especially for those used to the brand’s striated barrels. It comes with rhodium-plated brass trims and an 18C-750, rhodium-plated gold nib.
